SKIPtheatre: DEPARTURE: 3

'When an underground train, in the tube, stops too long between stations
And the conversation rises and slowly fades into silence
And you see behind every face the mental emptiness deepen
Leaving only the growing terror of nothing to think about.'
T.S. Eliot

A movement piece exploring the rhythms of human behaviour while travelling on the Underground to a soundtrack compiled by John Linger.

This piece has been developed in three stages and has so far been performed at the Union Theatre, on a ledge above the bar at the Shunt Lounge and also on stage in the Experimental Circle Tent at Offset Festival 2008, before Neils Children played their set.
